Maryanne Piper
MARYANNE PIPER is an award-winning Australian musician of German/Scottish heritage, active internationally. She has spent over two decades collaborating across continents, leading an impressive array of creative projects. An International NUFFIC Huygens Scholarship courtesy of the Dutch Government took her to The Netherlands for further study after completing undergraduate studies at Sydney Conservatorium of Music. She resided in Germany for 17 years, studying & working across Europe, North America, Asia, Australia and Africa. The endeavors of a modern-day Pied Piper have weaved a "fantasy-filled world of sound" (Süddeutsche Zeitung Germany), stretching the scope & possibilities of the clarinet through a full gamut of multi-genre collaboration: jazz, creative improvisation, world music styles, contemporary classical to experimental, electroacoustic and sound art. She has fused music with theatre, visual arts, dance and literature, linking their inherent synergies. Radio broadcasts for ABC Australia, BBC England, NPO The Netherlands, CBC Canada, RTE Ireland, WDR Germany, etc. Performances include WoW Festival (UK), Tonhalle Düsseldorf (GER), ABC Centre Ultimo (AUS), National Trust (AUS), Konzerthaus Berlin (GER), MassMOCA (USA), Roulette (NYC), amidst many established & unique locations. Artist residencies have comprised Bundanon Trust Australia, Inter-Artists Berlin Germany, TransitArts Denmark et al. Maryanne has worked with international artists such as Samson Young (Hong Kong), Ralf Grobel (Schauspielbühnen Berlin/Stuttgart, GER), Helios Theater & Tanztheater Pina Bausch (GER), Issie Barratt (UK), Don Byron & Bang on a Can (USA), among many others, including symphony, improviser & composer orchestras worldwide.

Damian Wright
DAMIAN WRIGHT is an ARIA-nominated Flamenco guitarist. Damian recently released his debut album “Shifting Sands” (ABC Music) which was The Sydney Morning Heralds ‘Album of the Week,’ described as “glorious guitar playing”. In 2014 Damian was invited to perform as a solo artist at The Rajasthan International Folk Festival in INDIA, and in 2016 performed at The Shanghai Fringe Festival in CHINA. Damian’s ensemble BANDALUZIA was invited in 2016 to perform at the biannual Adelaide International Guitar Festival curated by Slava Grigoryan & was a soloist at The Sydney International Guitar Festival in 2017 & 2018. BANDALUZIA was recently awarded "The Pick Of the Sydney Fringe" at The Sydney Fringe Festival and performed at a sold-out Sydney Opera House Concert Hall as an invited artist to TEDX Sydney 2014. BANDALUZIA has headlined The International Gypsy Music Festival Sydney, The Global Carnival, and was on Musica Viva's national touring program in 2023. In 2010 Damian received a development grant from the Australian Arts Council to study flamenco guitar in Spain with Pepe Justicia, where he spent five years. Damian has recorded with ensembles RASA DUENDE & THE TRANSLATORS on ABC/Universal and Jazzgroove Records. His compositions have been played on ABC Radio National and ABC Classic FM.
